What to do on a gloomy saturday

Keeping our crazy rowdy kids entertained indoors is alway a challenge. Good thing they are super weird and creative. hehe. Mckay came up with these silly ideas. Sorry I really need to work on my video skills :P

I am going to try and post more since I have been doing so bad at keeping my journal (this blog) lately. That is why I am posting all these little weird things...but it is the little weird things I want to rememeber :)

My crazy heads...

I love these pictures of my kids goofing around. Yes I know that Ky looks like a homeless kid...her curly hair is so crazy when I don't do it. Despite all my efforts to make a girly-girl, she is a HUGE TOMBOY! She can wrestle, run and be rowdy with the best of them. Mckay is such a good big brother! Yes, they fight a lot right now, but when they get along it is so fun to watch them play.

Nothing like some good ol' wrestling to get ready for bed.

Look at that serious mean face!

PETER PAN....

Also, last night the Howe's got us tickets to the Peter Pan play that was playing at Weber High (it is always so weird being back in there after almost 9 years). We took Mckay too and he LOVED it! I think I watched him more than I watched the play. He clapped and laughed so hard. He kept looking around for tink (his favorite) and kept saying "why is peter pan a girl!" Which, unfortunately she was. But, it was so much fun just to take Mckay and do something special with just the 3 of us.

When the play was all done, I was carrying Mckay out to the parking lot, got tired and handed him over to Craig. Well, then I started to make him laugh by telling him to hit daddy on the head with my water bottle....Well, I totally forgot that when you make him laugh really hard he BARFS! So, he threw up all over Craig. At least I had just handed him over and it wasn't on me right. hehe. Anyways, it was still a fun night with just us. Thanks Shan for watching Ky. :)

ps. make sure u all vote at the side of my Blog, I don't get to go till tonight and I really wanna know what you all think :)

My little Problem....

Well, I know this is a little bit of a personal thing that I am about to share, but I really feel like I need to so that you all can benefit from it that have I.U.D's (Intro Uterine Device) as birth control. I went to get mine taken out yesterday at the Dr.'s office, and he got in there and...it WASN'T there. So, he started to look for it, and you all know if you ever had one put it or taken out how bad it hurts. Well, he was looking for it and it hurt so bad that I almost passed out. He wanted to give me a shot to help with the pain, but I wouldn't let him cause I really hate shots & I didn't want to pay for one :) . I know I sound like a huge baby, but I have never been in so much pain in my life....and I have been through some pretty painful things. So, needless to say he couldn't find it anywhere and I am still in some pain.

So, I am going to have to get surgery to get it out as soon as they can figure out where it went. The reason I am sharing this is not for lots of Sympathy :) But, cause if you have a IUD please CHECK IT OFTEN! Make sure that it is in the right place and then maybe you will know and be able to go get it taken care of if there is a problem before it gets bad. Because I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy :( Anyways, I hope you all didn't find that too inappropriate to share...I just really want to warn everyone who has one or caution people who are thinking about getting one. I will end on a happier note and do a little quiz that I got tagged for from my friend Amy:

6 quirks about myself. Like Amy, I asked Craig to help me remember them all, and he assured me there are many more...he just couldn't think of them at the moment :)
So here they are:

1-I hate the sound of creasing paper...HATE it!

2-I hate to touch anything that is frozen. Like juice concentrate of frozen vegetables, Popsicles....when we go grocery shopping Craig always gets the frozen items. If I have to touch them I hold them just between 2 fingers.

3- Keeping with frozen things, I hate Popsicles, Not because of the taste, but I hate anything really cold by my teeth because I am so paranoid that it will touch my teeth.

4- Don't ever touch the end of my nose. Craig will do it just to bother me and I have some weird compulsion that I have to squeeze the tip of it together so I don't get a split in it... It is an instinct I can't control.

5-I don't like to take showers. I would much rather take a bath if I have the time. I just feel kinda trapped in a shower especially if the water comes down over my face.

6- I have an obsession with hair & makeup products. I have a entire linen closet full of them, even though I have only used some of them once. I just feel like maybe that one is better than the last one I just bought or something.

I know I am TOTALLY CRAZY!
Now I tag Brittney, Carly, Amy, Alison, Janna & Kim . I am excited to hear your kookiness :)

One more thing...I know this is the longest blog post ever, but I have to include this picture of Ky how I found her about 2-minutes ago. Serves me right for leaving her alone for a minute. She had a poopy diaper and was trying to get it out with her toothbrush. I don't think she'll be using that toothbrush anymore :)

Labor Day

Labor day today for our family should have been called, NO LABOR day....we were SOOOO lazy and did nothing. It was a pretty fun! hehe. We hung out all day and then for dinner we went out to our favorite restaurant Melina's (the kids LOVE their salsa) and then we came home and made ice cream sundaes, whip cream and all. Then we built a fort in the living room and watched "Alvin & the Chipmunks," pretty cute show...the kids really liked it and kept laughing.

It was a great day, and I kept watching my cute little family today and just couldn't stop thinking about how very blessed I am. Sure, my kiddos are crazy and rotten a lot of the time....but, it is days like this that makes me appreciate all that I have, I love my family so much!

Look at those cuties! Both of them have to have their silkie blankies of course

This is her laughing, no screaming...she was having so much fun

Mckay still has chocolate on his face from his sundae. hehe

This is just a picture from earlier of Ky & I just have to share because I LOVE this picture of her, it is my favorite of all time because it just shows her sweet cute little Kylin side...PERFECT :)

My New Book

OK, so I thought I would take a little break for a minute, because this is what I have looked like since "Breaking Dawn" came out. I'm a MESS I know!

Craig (the sweetie that he is) went and bought it for me at midnight when it came out. And ever since then, I have been reading...I haven't showered & barely eaten. Sounds crazy I know but, I am sure you all are out there doing the SAME THING and are NOT even reading my silly blog right now cause you are reading THAT BOOK! Can I just say, it is SO FREAKIN' GOOD!!! I think craig likes it when I read the Twilight books cause it makes me lots more romatical. hehe. Maybe that is why he was so eager to buy it for me or something. But, I am more than half way through it and I am trying to read it slow to make it last....but I just can't put it down :) So, I hope you are all enjoying it as much as I am.

Kung Fu fighting & Usborne Books

You will probably have to click on this to make it bigger so you can see the pictures better because they crack me up. We were at Sunday dinner and my parents house and the kids all decided to be Ninjas and start fighting each other, it was hilarious! So, it turned into this full out brawl. I hope that my kiddos always stay good friends with their cousins.

So most of you must know of Usborne Books....they are AMAZING! My kids LOVE them...and they are education and so cute and really fun to read. So, I decided to have a party. If you want to order some for your kids HERE is the link to my online party. If you want any suggestions for some great books let me know cause my kids have lots of them & I know some good ones :) Also, there might be shipping if you order it online, if you don't want to pay shipping just let me know what you want and I will get if for you at my party and there is NO shipping.

Random Funny Pictures

Every Sunday we go to dinner at My family's or Craig's family's house, we switch every week. It is nice to get to see everyone at least once every other week. This week was my parents week. Every One comes with all their kids and it is a NOISY CRAZY ZOO! There are 8 grand kids ranging from 6 months- 8 years. Here are just a couple funny pictures my mom took of this Sunday's dinner.

The Changing line-up. Kim has 2 kids in diapers right now and I only have 1 (thank goodness) and they all decided to poop their pants at the same time. It was one big smelly house thanks to them! ps. that wipee on the floor by Ky doesn't have poop on it mom....it is from the dirt I wiped off her face :)

My little tomboy couldn't stay out of Grandma's flower pots! The kids have so much fun going to my parents house cause they have a big backyard with all kinds of toys and a playroom just for them.
What a cute little mess. Thank goodness I took off her pretty Sunday dress before letting her go out and play. I know how Kylin is.

My Little Superhero's

We have all be a little bored the past couple days becuase it has been too cold and windy to go play outside. Well, the kids were playing dress up with their fire hats and mickey mouse ears (they love playing dress up) and watching "Super Why", So I got the idea to make them super hero costumes. Mckay especially LOVED it. He kept saying he was, "Super Why to the rescue!" I am sure you who have kids that watch the show know what he mean's. They both flew around the house for a while. Ky would follow Mckay anywhere. Mckay kept his on pretty much all day. I have got lots of good pictures for their wedding video's someday, that is for sure!

Mckay insisted on wearing just his underwear of course! He said he was like a superman superwhy. He is a pretty scrawny superman if you ask me.

Look at the fiercness in Ky's eyes. hehe.
The super hero stance! He looks like he is ready to fly.
Mckay and I tried to teach Ky how to flex her muscles, and this is what we got. Pretty close...look at those guns!

On a COMPLETELY different note....I have to tell you about my poor cat Tango. I had such a sad and tramatic experience a couple days ago with him. Craig was leaving to go to work and he started the car and he said it kinda sounded like a weed wacker. So he got out of the car a lifted the hood and saw our Cat Tango's legs sticking out the top. I guess Tango had got up in there to get warm. So craig ran inside so upset and came and got me. I was crying hysterically and thought Tango was dead cause there was blood everywhere. Well, to make a long story short. Tango was stuck tight, our neighbors saw me bawling and came helped us take apart our car a little so we could get him out. It took some one pushing him from below and pulling from above to get him out. He was stuck so tight that we thought we would break his neck trying to get him out. But, we got him out alive and he is missing half his tail. He was in some pretty bad shock and I thought he might have some internal bledding. But, he seems to be surving although he is in a lot of pain. We took him into the vet and there is not much else they can do for him. So, hopefully he will make a full recovery and we will just have to change his name to "stubs". Thanks for everyone's concern who called and stopped by :) you all know how much I love my animals. I would show you the picture I took of his stubby bloody tail...but I thought it was pretty gross and you probably wouldn't appreciate it. I'll just tell you that it's gross. I am just so thankful he is alive!

Sunglasses & Crazy Hair Day

Usually I don't post my scrapbook pages here, but I just like how you can see all three of these cute pictures together in a row. You can click it to make it bigger too. Mckay had a sleepover with the Howe's, so it was just Ky, Daddy & Me this morning going to take a walk to the mailbox. It was so weird and easier just having to worry about one kid. I kept thinking "where is Mckay!" It was fun to just to spend some time with Ky. I did her hair all crazy and we both wore our sunglasses and she just thought she was the COOLEST baby ever!

My sis-in-law said that Ky looked like a little "whoo" with her hair done like that... You know like Dr. Seuss. And she kinda does! hehe. I should call her susie-loo-whoo (don't know how to spell it though).

Pools, Paint, Slides & Picnics...

We put in our yard last year right before winter and never got a chance to enjoy it. Summer is just about here and we are having so much fun outside! We pretty much spend all day outside. Mckay has finally learned how to ride his bike (you can see pictures on my scrapbooking blog) and we have been just hanging out in our backyard. We got the kids a pretty fun little pool too. I love having a fenced in yard all our own, and I am gonna enjoy it to the max till we sell our house! Not the best of pictures cause of the light (never take pictures at noon) and I can't get my dang kids to look at me...I was jumping up and down and making all kinds of weird noises and they both still just tune me out...Oh well.

Mckay had so much fun in his new pool.

Craig's probably gonna kick my butt for this, but I think it is HILARIOUS. He was all wet and I didn't want him to go in the house, so I told him to just go by the dog kennel and pee. It is ok cause they yard is all fenced in!

The pool has all these cool blow up toys and play things attached to it. If any of you are wanting it...it was a Walmart special.

They both loved going down the slide. Even though we didn't fill the pool up very much. We probably will tomorrow. It is really cool though cause there is a shallow play area and then a deep area at the top. They are soooo spoiled though cause we boiled water on the stove so the pool would be heated :) hehe.

He loved painting with his fingers and making a huge mess. I didn't care because it was outside and so I let him do whatever he wanted! It was perfect beautiful day today.

Look real close and you will notice the HUGE plumbers butt....He has not been wearing underwear lately. He doesn't like it. I will put it on him in the morning and I notice later on in the day that he doesn't have it on anymore.

We hung all his masterpieces on the fence.

Ky was crying cause I wouldn't let her in the pool till I changed her into her suit. I just thought it was a cute picture.

This is a VERY rare moment of Mckay actually eating without throwing a huge fit. He told me yesterday that, "Food makes me angry mommy!" this time I told him he couldn't play in his pool till he ate.

Mckay got this swing set for his birthday last year and was never able to use it till now. They both love going down the slide the most.

My Little Crazy Head

I love this picture of Kylin because it shows her little defiant personality so much. She is a feisty one! The story of this picture is, I had just run Ky a bath and she knew it. The door bell rang, so I grabbed her and went to go answer it. Well, she was kicking and screaming till finally I just put her down so I could talk to my friend and Ky took off. It hit me about a minute later and I bolted up the stairs to the bathroom. She had started giving herself a bath and couldn't wait for me. Nothing can stop this little girl from doing what she wants!

I think this page says it all

Of my two kids, Kylin has defiantly been more of a handful. That is saying alot because you all know what a little wild thing Mckay is. Kylin just gets into EVERYTHING and has to destroy and pull it all apart. I swear she does it just for the joy of making a mess. I can't take my eyes off her for even a second or she is terrorizing something. I call her my little wrecking ball and Craig calls her the "unmaker" hehe. I don't know I guess people just told me that girls are easier than boys and so I was excited for a mellow and easy child...YEAH RIGHT!

On a different note....here is a picture of Mckay and his cousin Tyler wearing Kim's bows that she makes. Craig would kill me if he saw this picture or knew that I put a bow on his boy, I am blaming it all on you Kim! I am sure Ryan won't like this picture either. But, it is funny just the same and will be great picture to put on their wedding videos someday. What a meanies we are :)

The Bead

So, last night we picked up our kids from Grandpa & Grandma Howes, and got home and Mckay in bed at about 10p.m. He was so tired he didn't even change into his Pj's. Not 10-minutes later we hear Mckay crying very loudly from his room. So, I go in there to see what the problem is and he says through tears, "Mommy, I got my bead stuck in my nose!" Sure enough, there was the big white bead that Mikey had given him earlier that night. It was SO FAR UP THERE! I could barely even see it. We tried to get him to blow as hard as he could while we blocked off the other side of his nose and covered his mouth. Which, blew TONS of snot all over me, but no bead. Nothing was working. We tried having him blow it out, and us trying to push it out for about 10-minutes. I even tried getting my tweezers up there to grab it, which was really scary cause Mckay was still crying so hard and having a hard time holding still.

We called the Howe's wondering if they knew of a good "Now Care" that was still open. Then, craig had the idea to get one of my bobbi pins and try and stick it up there enough to get the bead turned (there is a whole in the middle) enough to grab it and pull it out. But, me being the picture nerd I am had to grab my camera while my poor little boy was in so much turmoil. Well, to get to the point, the bobby pin worked...I was able to reach in there and turn it enough and then slide it out. I am just glad we didn't have to take him to the hospital and so is he :) He was really worried about it. I don't think he will be sticking anything in his nose again anytime soon. It was pretty funny though!

We got our desk lamp so I could see better...It was so far up there, you have no idea, I could just BARELY see it! Then I put my sunglasses on him so that it wouldn't be too bright. Craig showed him what the bobby pin looked like and that it wasn't sharp and wouldn't hurt...hopefully. No wonder the poor thing was so scared. Looks like he was about to get his teeth drilled or go into surgery or something.

This is him right after holding the bead. He looks exhauseted and teary-eyed. The funny thing is, is that he still wanted to take the dang thing to bed with him. We made him put it on his dresser.

The tools. hehe. Oh, wow what a night!
