Fishing with Grandpa

I just LOVE this picture and had to share...wish I had taken more :) Mckay loves his Grandpa so much! My dad has taken Mckay fishing before and ever since Mckay has been asking to go again. So, since it was nice outside my dad was able to take him fishing right out side their house. They didn't catch anything...but had fun anways :) Thanks Mom & Dad for watching the kiddos so I could shoot my wedding!
Happy Spring everyone!

I'M BACK!

FINALLY our computer is fixed! WOWZERS I was going through some serious withdrawals. I couldn't check anyones blogs or barely my email. So anyways, there has been lots happening the past few weeks since I have posted last. I will have to do a "catch up" post later with some Thanksgiving, black friday, cookie houses and some other fun stuff we've been up to.
But, I am just gonna hurry and post Piper's blessing day first :) It was such a WONDERFUL day! Craig gave a beautiful blessing and I got to hear both of my sisters bare their testimony's which was so so great. I am thankful to our families that were able to come and be with is on this special day especially driving through all the snow. We had a yummy waffle bar after church was over and were able to hang out for a few hours and just talk. What a good time! I wish I had remembered to get pictures of everyone that was there! darn :( I just have to say that I love my little Piper and I am so thankful she is apart of our family! I can't imagine my life without her.
Her dress was pretty big on her, but I still liked it because it had a cool vintage feel to it. It was SOOO long! and It did come with a bonnet...but Craig isn't a fan :)
Look at that sweet wittle face...I seriously cant kiss her enough. She is starting to smile which is SO MUCH FUN for us!

The family picture of course. I still can't believe we are a family of 5!

I couldn't get a decent picture of them to save my life...they were way to wired with grandmas 2 feet away. Poor piper. hehe.

Early Morning "Cuddle Monster"

It is 3:52 in the morning and of course I can't sleep...so what else is new :) So, I decided I would write something down that happened about an hour ago and might seem kinda silly to blog about, but this is my family journal and I want to remember these sweet little memories forever.

So on with my story...Kylin has this cute pair of jammie's from Old Navy that say, "Cuddle Monster" on them. I LOVE them because I think that is the PERFECT term to describe Kylin! She is SO crazy, wild, stubborn, and just a little MONSTER a lot of the time....BUT I know she is a softie inside and such a sweetheart when she wants to be. This morning at about 2:30 AM she wakes up crying, so I go in her room to see what is wrong and she asks if she can come and sleep in my bed. I asked her why and she said, "Because I love you mommy." How can I refuse that? So, I scoop her up and put her in our bed in between Craig and I. Then as I am laying by her she starts giving me a back scratch (2-year old style) for about 5-minutes then rolls over and falls asleep. How sweet is that :)

So, I was laying there thinking how very blessed I am. Sometimes it is hard being a stay at home mommy and I get discouraged and feel so unappreciated. Or most the time feel like I am doing a horrible job...and that my kids need a better more patient mommy. But, it is sweet simple little moments like that, that make it all worth it and lets me know that my kids DO know I love them and that they love me back. There is nothing better in life than that :)

Perfect Sunday Morning...

My kids usually come in a snuggle with us every morning, but today it really hit me how blessed I am to have my sweet little family, I don't know what I would do without them in my life and I am just so grateful to my Heavenly Father that I am a mommy and wife...I love them so much!

My Grandpa's Funeral

My Grandpa's Funeral was yesterday. It was a really sad & emotional day for me but, I felt a sweet calming feeling when it was all done. I know my Grandpa is happy and where is he suppose to be. My sister Kim took this picture of her 2 kids, Kailey & Megan, with Mckay right after the grave side services.

My Grandpa Waters

My Grandpa passed away this morning. It is has been a very difficult few days leading up to it. I know that he is in a better place, and wouldn't want us to be sad for him. So, I wanted to take a minute and talk about the great man he was. He was always so strong, I remember his strong bear hugs & hand shakes that made you feel like your hand would fall off. He always knew how to make me laugh. He had such a great smile and laugh. I could go on and on about memories as a child with him...but, before I start crying too much to finish typing....I will just say that he was an amazing man who loved his family and Lord. You could always tell that those were the most important things to him. I Love you Grandpa. You will be missed and thought of often. I am so glad that families are forever and that I will see you again someday!

Blessing Day & Easter

What a busy, but wonderful weekend it was. Kylin was blessed on Sunday by Craig & it was an amazing blessing. After church we went to my moms house for lunch and to celebrate. All the kids got to do an Easter egg hunt too. It was so great to share that special day with both our families.

My Dad

My Dad is home from Hawaii (where he works) for 2 weeks for Kylin's baby blessing & Charidy's baptism. It is only the 2nd time he has seen Kylin so, it was really fun for them to be able to hang out today while we listened to conference. Hopefully, he will find a job here in Utah so that he can be close. We all miss him LOTS.... Especially my mom & little brothers.

Sleepy Time

Craig just got done feeding Kylin a bottle and decided to take a nap with her. I had to get a shot cause they are just so cute together. Our little Kylin is such a snuggler and I have to say...so is her daddy.

Finally home!

After living at the hospital for 2 weeks Kylin & I are finally home! Wahoo! She is breastfeeding very well and doing everything a little baby is suppose to...like eat, poop and sleep :) Mckay is very excited to have his little sister home too. He kept smiling and laughing and saying, "Kylin home." I can't believe we have 2 kids now! It has just hit me since we have brought her home and had to squeeze to car seats in our Jeep. I am excited to sleep in my own bed (if i ever can get some sleep now) and take a shower :) Thanks again for everyones help and your prayers.

Silly Traditions

It is a sort of ritual that craig grew up with to lay over the heat vent on the floor. There is a vent in our bedroom right next to our bed so, he makes a tent over it and traps in all the hot air. Mckay and our cat Jack have started this tradition with him. They lay there and cook until the heat goes off. It is the funniest thing!
