My not so welcome visitor...

So, we have LOTS of spiders here in our new condo. You know those big ugly things that are crawling around your garage. That what we have all over. I pick up laundry off the floor- there's a spider, I go to wash my hands- there's a spider in the sink, I am vacuuming- there's a spider, I get something out of the fridge- Ok, there is not a spider there, but you get the idea!

So, I was taking a nice relaxing bath today after Craig got home from school, reading my Parenting Magazine and all the sudden I feel a pinch on my arm and it hurts. I JUMP up and a BIG ugly spider falls off my arm into the bathtub! I am FREAKING OUT...screaming and calling for Craig to get in here. So, instead of just scooping it out and smashing it...I make a point of slowly watching the thing suffer and drown, standing at the other side of the tub, butt-naked, hoping that is it not a rare "swimming" kind of spider. The whole time yelling for Craig to get in here. So, FINALLY he comes in (you would think if your wife was screaming you would book it in there or something....maybe it is an all too frequent occurance) scoops the thing out of the tub and flushes him down the toilet, gives me a kiss and walks out like nothing happend!

I know, I know you all are thinkiung I am a HUGE baby. Well, it's true I am, But I have a history with spiders. When I was like 10-years old, I got bite by a Brown recluse or Black Widow on the back of my leg. Well, it's poison ate through my skin all the way to my bone! And, since we lived in Turkey at the time (hospitals there are HORRIBLE) my dad didn't want to take me into the doctor, so he got a knife, a belt for me to bite on, and my mom held me while he cut out the infection. I still have a big white circular scar on the back of my leg to this day to remind me how much I HATE those ugly creepy suckers!

So- that explains a little why my little visitor today made me freak! I must have some weird signal that my body puts off that says, "BITE ME...PLEASE!" I know it's a random thing to blog about, but life is RANDOM right? hehe.

My crazy heads...

I love these pictures of my kids goofing around. Yes I know that Ky looks like a homeless kid...her curly hair is so crazy when I don't do it. Despite all my efforts to make a girly-girl, she is a HUGE TOMBOY! She can wrestle, run and be rowdy with the best of them. Mckay is such a good big brother! Yes, they fight a lot right now, but when they get along it is so fun to watch them play.

Nothing like some good ol' wrestling to get ready for bed.

Look at that serious mean face!

PETER PAN....

Also, last night the Howe's got us tickets to the Peter Pan play that was playing at Weber High (it is always so weird being back in there after almost 9 years). We took Mckay too and he LOVED it! I think I watched him more than I watched the play. He clapped and laughed so hard. He kept looking around for tink (his favorite) and kept saying "why is peter pan a girl!" Which, unfortunately she was. But, it was so much fun just to take Mckay and do something special with just the 3 of us.

When the play was all done, I was carrying Mckay out to the parking lot, got tired and handed him over to Craig. Well, then I started to make him laugh by telling him to hit daddy on the head with my water bottle....Well, I totally forgot that when you make him laugh really hard he BARFS! So, he threw up all over Craig. At least I had just handed him over and it wasn't on me right. hehe. Anyways, it was still a fun night with just us. Thanks Shan for watching Ky. :)

ps. make sure u all vote at the side of my Blog, I don't get to go till tonight and I really wanna know what you all think :)

A few of my favorite things...

I thought I would share some of my favorite things, they might not be new things to me and maybe not to you either, but as the weather is getting colder and colder some of these things have become my favorites again :) I love hearing about people's favorite things and new products, so I would love for you all to do a post if you want on some of yours!

1. BURT'S BEES: www. burtsbees.com

I LOVE LOVE their products. I have used there lip balm for a while now, and it is wonderful. But, I recently tried their face wash and now I am addicted to all their stuff. There are made from natural products and smell wonderful, plus they make my skin feel great and glow.

This face wash is my favorite

2. Aquaphor
This is actually a new find from my friend Amy. Works on lips and face any where you want to moisturize, works GREAT on my kiddos in this cold skin drying weather.

3. COCOA MOTION:
I drink Hot Coco religiously every morning in my coco motion...can't get enough of the stuff. This roasted hazelnut is my favorite.

The Coco Motion...
4. COOKIE MAGAZINE

This is a new magazine and it has all kinds of fun crafts, cool decorating ideas and just lots of cool mom stuff. It is suppose to be for hip mom's, even though I might not be super hip, I still love reading it. I am also a fan of parenting magazine. Any help I can get right?

5. CROCHET BEANIE HATS:
These hats are ADORABLE on Kylin, she has a couple different colors. HERE is the Ebay store where I got them from. If you are not a fan of Ebay, then I am pretty sure they have some at quilted bear. Some of you can probably make them....Amy Tuttle! jealous. :)

She has lots of colors...

6. BABYLEGS:

I have had babylegs since Ky has been a baby, but I am just re-falling in love with them now that it is getting cold again. They are so great can you can put them on arms or legs to keep your kids warm and they are just so DANG cute! My friend Chelsea sells them, HERE is her site.
7. PUMPKIN COOKIES
This is my favorite recipe and totally hits the spot in this fall weather. HERE is the recipe

8. Old Navy Slipper Boots
I just got these and I LOVE them....so cozy and cute! There are just a few of mine...I tag you all!

Happy Election Day...

I have voted ever since I've been 18, but I kinda wanted to document today cause I think this is a really big election. So, Craig and I went and voted this morning and I snapped a few pics. I know that like 80% of Utah is republican also, but it still makes me feel good to vote and put my little mark out there :) I hope you all did the same. We really are so blessed to live in this country and be able to have a say in who our government is. Gosh I love America! I know we are going through tuff economic times here, but how blessed we are compared to so many other nations. I will be watching closely tonight to see who our next president is.

Toasted Blog....

Ok, so I was dumb...REALLY dumb and decided to redo my blog template, I have been wanting a 3-column one for a while. You guys know how I get bored and just like to change it up all the time. Well this time I messed with all the HTML junk and I accidentally messed it up and had to erase EVERYTHING! So, I had to go through and find all your blogs again and redo all my links. If you are not on my list and you ususally are it is because I cannot find your blog address, so can you please post me a comment with it so I can find you again :) Thanks! I got it fixed and Hopefully I will be back up and running soon, I am SO LAME!

Edward Cullen

Anyone who has read the Twilight series, knows that name. :) Ok, so this is the MOST RANDOM post ever...and I know you are all gonna think I am crazy silly, but I finished reading the first "Twilight" book again recently and have been trying to come up with an Edward picture in my head because I am trying to get out of my head the actor they picked to play to him in the up coming movie, he just doesn't work for me at all! Well, today I watched the movie "August Rush" and one of the main actors in it is this guy...TOTALLY who I picture as Edward. So, I thought I would share :) hehe. I am so silly I know, but now I have an Edward picture in my head instead of that other actor. I know he is a little bit older than Edward probably, but oh well. Much easier to visualize when I am reading the books. :0) Don't worry....I still love and think my husband is the hottest guy in the world...I really do sweetie!

This is from August Rush...really good movie, you should all check it out.

What we have been up to...

It has been a little while since I have posted, mostly because there hasn't been too much going on. Right now it is 3 a.m. and I CAN'T sleep cause Craig is in our room snoring, he usually doesn't snore, but tonight I've woken him up twice and he will roll over and snore some more. I am gonna be tired tomorrow :)

Anyways, Since the Olympics have been on I have been watching them non-stop after the kids go to bed. That is the beauty of a DVR I can watch whatever events I want and fast forward the rest. I am so into watching indoor and Outdoor volleyball, the US teams only usually. I am in love with Walsh/May and Michael Phelps right now :) They are just amazing! I sit there and jump and scream at my TV. For those of you who know me well, know I LOVE sports and I especially love volleyball...I also watch Basketball & gymnastics too.

Michael Phelps is a freaking Machine...He hasn't lost once and has broken a record every time he has swam!

Also, in the past week we have been to a couple fairs, the Morgan Fair, Weber County, & Davis County Fair. The kids LOVE them and they are cheap! I only have taken a couple pictures though because I forgot my camera at some of them :) But here are some pictures...

This is Mckay's first time not being scared of the horses...his first time riding alone. Ky on the other hand was not scared AT ALL. She was smiling the entire time and didn't want to get off.

They had a huge sand pit there that the kids loved playing in. It is funny how kids can sit and be entertained by sand forever! He was so proud of his volcano, which later got destroyed.

They had a petting zoo there and of course Ky wasn't scared. She kept patting the goat on the head. Kailey almost got kicked in the face by a huge cow...it was really scary and we are glad she has angels watching over her :)

We went to this fair with my sister and her kids. Mckay LOVES his cousins and it is always so much fun when they get to be together!

Mckay and his cotton Candy (look at his dirt tears from when his volcano got destroyed in the sand box). Ky loved her cotton candy too...she was covered in pink by the end and was eating it like she had never eaten a day in her life.

They had these cool wiggle cars a a booth, so of course "The kids" had to try them out :)

My New Book

OK, so I thought I would take a little break for a minute, because this is what I have looked like since "Breaking Dawn" came out. I'm a MESS I know!

Craig (the sweetie that he is) went and bought it for me at midnight when it came out. And ever since then, I have been reading...I haven't showered & barely eaten. Sounds crazy I know but, I am sure you all are out there doing the SAME THING and are NOT even reading my silly blog right now cause you are reading THAT BOOK! Can I just say, it is SO FREAKIN' GOOD!!! I think craig likes it when I read the Twilight books cause it makes me lots more romatical. hehe. Maybe that is why he was so eager to buy it for me or something. But, I am more than half way through it and I am trying to read it slow to make it last....but I just can't put it down :) So, I hope you are all enjoying it as much as I am.

My List of RANDOM..

Things that make life easier with kids. I was thinking yesterday of all the little things we have now that they didn't have "back in the day" that make raising kids easier. This is beyond your basic normal stuff you need for kids. So, I decided to make a list and go around and take some quick pictures cause I was bored. If you have a little something that you love please post it...I am always looking for little things to help me out (besides lots of IBprophen). Either post it here or make a post on your blog so I can see :) Here is my list in no particular order:

409 CARPET CLEANER- This is the BEST carpet cleaner in the WORLD! It gets everything out...even Grape juice and Blood. I am in love with this stuff.

VEGT. & FRUIT IN SMALL PORTIONS-
Ky loves vegt. & fruit, but I hated having to open a huge can of peas or fruit. This way, I just pop the peas in the microwave for 30 seconds and DONE! The fruit I just drain out the juice and give it to her. SO convenient.

CROCS- So great to have these when you are in a hurry and just want to get out the door because the kids can put them on themselves. Great for everything summer :)

CUP WITH A STRAW & SEPARATED PLATE-
Mckay hates for his food to touch, so this plate is perfect for that. Great for dipping his chicken nuggets in too. The cup is just fun a really convienent so I don't have to keep buying the plastic straws anymore. Only $0.50 a plate and cup.

GOOD BOY CHART- Mckay is at a REALLY hard age right now where I swear his ears are just on his head for decoration. He doesn't listen at all. So, I made this chart, and everytime he does what I ask him to do then he gets a sticker. When his chart is full of stickers than he get a toy that he picked out. He wants this Buzz light year dart gun thing. So, it actually works most them time and makes my life a heck of a lot easier. He still doesn't listen all the time but at least a little bit more :)

KID-TO-KID ELASTICS- People always ask me how I get Ky's hair done and how to get it to STAY without her pulling it out. Well, Kid-to-Kid in Ogden sells these great elastics that are only $.99. It is a huge pack and they are fantastic and stretchy and don't break. Ky can't pull them out and even if your kid has a TINY bit of hair you can grab it with those and it will HOLD it. Another trick is a spray bottle and fine tooth comb. It really helps to have the hair wet :)

HIGHCHAIRS THAT HOOK ONTO CHAIRS- I love that I don't have a seperate highchair that takes up space. This is so nice cause Ky can sit right up to the table with us, and when she is done, we just push it up to the table like all the other chairs and it dispears under the table. Also...

HUGE RUBBERY PLASTIC BIB- This bib is so great cause it is huge and has a little catcher pocket at the bottom for everything that falls. Plus, it snaps hard so she can't get it off. After she is done I just take it to the sink and clean it of and tada it is ready for the next meal...no washing machine required.

LAVENDER GERM-X- I LOVE germ-x period, but I really like this kind cause it actually smells nice unlike the other kinds, plus it is moisturizing.

GOOD SIPPY CUPS- Sippy's that REALLY don't spill instead of the cheap rubbery ones I used to buy for $1.50 that spilled all over the place. These Playtex ones are like $7 for 2 cups, but TOTALLY worth it!

RUBBER BATH PITCHER- My kids HATE getting their faces wet in the bath when I wash them up. So, I saw this silly cup thing at walmart for $3 and bought it on a whim. LOVE it! You fill it with water and dump it on their heads, that blue part is rubbery and you push it right up against their for heads, so the water doesn't get in their eyes as long as their heads are tipped back.

POTTERY BARN STOOL- I got this from DownEast Outfitter store in Ogden for only $10! I love that store because it has all kinds of cute stuff for CHEAP! I love having stools around the sinks so that Mckay can wash his own hands. This stool is the PERFECT height.

HUGGIES SOAP- This soap is great firstly because it is foam soap, which last FOREVER and secondly it has a fun timer built into it. So, Mckay pushes it down to dispense the soap and the hippo head starts blinking for 20 seconds. So, Mckay knows he has to wash his hands till the light stops. It makes it fun to wash. I aslo love their flushable butt wipes.
